I thought it would be fun, now that we've had HFQ in our grubby hands for a bit better than a month, to do our brags about where we guessed right about where things would go and to abjectly confess about where we turned out wrong...

So I'll start...

Brags...
I turned out right about Nynian and Sandaria... They both successfully transitioned into the inner circle.

I guessed that Hanth would get past Evertyn with the qualification that he didn't get as far as I thought.

My prediction about Nynian's having a covert organization was true, although their reach and range of activity was much broader than I expected.

I predicted that Ahlverez would escape, but was wrong about the route he would take.

Like almost everyone on forum, I guessed the fate of the armies of Sylmahn and Glacierheart.

I successfully predicted the decline in Clyntahn's rationality and that Duchairn would keep trying to hold things together.

Abject confession...

I completely missed how the detail with the Army of Sylmahn would be handled. In particular, I thought BGV would confront Wyrshym at Guernak, but he ended up at Five Forks instead. Some of you did predict that. Hats off to you! Having Stohnar be the one to actually deliver the coup de grace to Wyrshym Was a very nice touch. Hats off to David for that one.

I expected DE to reinforce Hanth, but he turns up back on the Daivyn to deal with Kaitswryth instead.

Thirsk played a lot more crucial role in the book than in LAMA. I never anticipated the way his family would be rescued.

The church has done a better job of responding to innovation than I was expecting.

Having Maigwair become assertive enough to confront Clyntahn was a real surprise even though he had already started to develop in the previous books.

I expected to see the Haarahlds in action, but was disappointed to have them delayed.

Hektor going back to sea. I thought his role in Manchyr was important enough to keep him there. Again, hats off to those of you who predicted that.

The slowness of the timeline surprised me even though I should really have expected it.

I'm sure I'll think of other stuff to add, but nuff for now.

You are invited to add your oun brags and abject confessions...

I specifically called the grenade slingers. Other than that, I wasn't doing much calling.
