It seems fairly obvious to me that Nynian will have to be told the whole truth. The trust issue is the driving factor in my thinking (guessing :) ) Sooo. moving right along. We know there are two major different schools of thought/belief within the SSK. So what does Nynian tell her folks?
Everything?
Nothing?
Something in between? (this should be a fun discussion :D )
Will she have to kill any of her folks?

Looking forward to your thoughts. I think.

On a case to case basis, obviously. She'll have to pick and choose who gets the full truth now, and probably at least someone from the inner circle (Merlin?) would have to approve.

I don't see why the SSK would be treated differently than anyone else in regard to inducting them into the inner circle. Standard practice, I believe, is to get approval from the Brethren of St. Zherenau before bringing anyone in.

I like the principle. But in practice it has been difficult to fully implement. Sharleyean, Hector, Irys were all admitted before the Brethren had their say. In the case of the sisters, I agree that you cant admit them enmasse, I don't see how they can be exposed to the Brethren well enough so that they could offer meaningful input. And it could well be that there could be others whose trustworthiness and flexibility are such that they would deserve to be told, but being a half-planet away...

I don't think the inner circle will want to tell the members of the SSK too much. Remember, many, if not all, of them are in lands where the Temple rules. This means that there is a small but significant chance that one might be discovered by the inquisition and put to the question. If that were to happen the Temple would, presumably, wring everything she knows out of her, including everything she had been told by the circle. A Disaster!

A good point. Another thing to consider is that any individual sister might not need to know the whole story. We don't really know much about what the SSK does, but they do have a hierarchy of some sort, as evidenced by Nynian's being Mother Superior. So it seems that whatever Nynian decides to do based on what the inner circle tells her, she can simply give instructions to her subordinates. Over time, individual reliable sisters may be brought into the inner circle, but there's no need for any across-the-board revelation of the whole truth - or even any part of it, to be honest.

Why not simply say she has discovered an order that is spiritually their brother order. an order dedicated to the fight against evil and corruption. They could be encouraged to visit the monastary as a base.

Agreed. SOME members of SSK, hovewer, may be put "in system".

I don't think Nynian need to tell the rest of SSK anything. Nynian can probably recommend people to bring in on a case by case decided by the inner circle.

It'll be hard to get them to believe anyway. Many of the current inner circle was probably informed by Merlin personally during their induction into the inner circle so his "Archangel-like' abilities do help in convincing them.

Unless Nynian plans to bring Merlin into SSK's inner circle and get him to talk to SSK people directly. I can imagine that will be an interesting meeting.

I can see Nimue getting to know Nynian and her sisterhood on a first name basis. Initial contacts by someone who can slip into the order with a minimum of attention (i.e. obviously and verifiably female - and the female members of the inner circle who are not heads of state is a little limited)would seem advisable in the short term.
