That sounds like a very fanciful demise for Buckley. I'd expect it be more common like "decapitated by an exploding barrel of fermented pork bellies". ![]() --- Jack of all trades and destructive tinkerer. Anyone who have simple solutions for complex problems is a fool. |

I rather liked the way Ryk Spoor did it in the boundary serie. Joe don't die but cheat death by the tiniest margin possible each time. And he even get the girl ! |

Ah, Lord, I was afraid of that being the case for publication. A whole year from now, sustained, albeit minimally, by small sips of snippets like squeezing moisture from desert cacti! Misery upon misery as I seek scant comfort in reading and rereading the previous volumes. Woe is moi! ![]() -----

Hmm, is the spar torpedo becomes the second TWTSNBN (The Weapon That Shall Not Be Named)? Time will tell
![]() I must admit the suggestion of the exploding barrel of fermented pork bellies has a certain panache for doing in old Joe. ![]() Poker CPO Poker Mind

That's impossible, because if the Grav Lance is the purely fictional weapon, the spar torpedo is pretty real one. ![]() ------------------------------

Hmm how to kill Joe Buckley on Safehold, as a guardsman getting decapitated after giving Nimue a wedgie?
Telling Clynton he would look good in a dress? An idiot inquisitor surrendering to Charisins save his life? Come on guys how would you kill ol' Joe Buckley on Safehold? Poker CPO Poker Mind

If my idea of being decapitated by an exploding barrel of fermented pork bellies isn't good enough, he can always get stuck in a crate filled with Steel thistle pods in a ship riding out a storm. --- Jack of all trades and destructive tinkerer. Why would it be otherwise? Joe gets the snippets the same way we do. -------------------------
