"Instant death" is probably closer, as "sudden" implies an element of surprise or unexpected, whereas "subita" merely implies immediacy.
But, "sudden death" being the usual idiom, the Moldo-Walachian phrase is close enough for government work; they were Marines, after all.

My Welsh is non-existent, but Google translate gives Chwaer as sister or companion iau as Thursday (!) or Jupiter I notice RFC didn't actually give us his translation of the whole name. ![]() |
