Once Safehold breaks out of orbit and Terran Federation tech is in widespread use.

What would prevent some idiot, from intentionally seeking out the Ghabba and telling them the location of Safehold before they are ready to take them on?

In fact, it’s kind of a given that the Ghabba will locate the humans before they are ready to steamroller the Ghabba.

It's RFC's universe (one of many).
He isn't into either of the extremes in endings. A depressing and nihilistic going down in flames, or a military porn unequal wipeout of the baddies.
To me it's possible that he may have the resurgent humans coming out of Safehold to find an empty universe. The Gbaba having wiped out any other intelligent species, then turning on themselves.

I'm sure that knowing RFC. Dealing with the Ghabba for the second round, won't be a cakewalk for the humans. In fact, they will probably only win at the very last minute and by the slimmest of margins.

And the outcome will be dicey up until the last moment.

I'm not sure I'd necessarily agree that he avoids a "military porn unequal wipeout of the baddies". That's been a pretty good description of the recent Honorverse books as well as the Out of the Dark series.

I’m not sure that RFC is going to spend a lot of time with the renewed Gbaba war. He’s done at least four different flavors of space combat that I can come up with off the top of my head. Once humanity breaks the teachings and ideology of the church and takes control of near Safehold space away from the orbital bombardment system, I expect that to be a wrap. We might get a synopsis or a broad brush kinda thing for closure, but don’t forget that he teed up the Achultani for follow on books, but he stopped when he finished ‘Heirs of Empire.’ When asked by Merlin wasn’t using a more direct approach to breaking the church, RFC said something like, “he could, but that would be boring to read, and boring to write.”
