That more or less implies that we are probably looking at a 2017 publication date.

We haven't heard from RFC since 15th November, why would you imagine we will get snippets in the way we have before?

The direct answer is standard practice, understanding that imagining is all we are doing.

I, like all the addicts here, would like, no love, to see snippets. :) But, my stack of unread books by my lazy-boy is about a foot high. In addition, she who must be obeyed has big plans this summer. As a result I wish RFC/MWW and his family all the best and will see you (figuratively) in September (as the song goes).

My lazy boy is in the same room as my TV and I cannot read while the 'babble box' is on in the same room so if my wife wants to watch something, I sit in another room with a less comfortable chair...

Not necessarily. Shadow of Victory is confirmed for a November 2016 publication date and we have not yet received a snippet from that either.

I'm just guessing. It's a crap shoot one way or the other...

I hope that it works out that way, but past experience implies that those dates aren't set in stone...

I'd agree but we are almost within 4 months of this date and this date is what shows on AMAZON and Barnes&Noble. MacMillan just allows me to purchase now from a list of retailers like the preceding. My point is that with the lead time needed for typesetting and expected volume, this book is likely to be already electronically typeset if that date is still showing. The closer the date comes, the more I believe it to be true!

Please oh great (Safehold) Creator, gives us a sign (snippet!)

He's on in Ballroom A at 3:00 Friday. I wonder if anyone will ask him about the "S" word. ;)

Oh! Where are those dratted "Snips"?

Little black and white creatures, 3 paragraphs high, that answer to descriptive names like Teaser Snip or Ominous Snip. With their insipid theme song, they roam the cyber-forest of the Internet, tormenting our pet 'cats and taunting us from just out of reach with their calls of tum-te-tum-te-tum, knowing full well that if we catch them, we can create from them a most valuable treasure, the fabled Snipette...

OK, where are my meds?
