:o Sorry about that. :o

The "Harchong problem" is one that won't have a pretty end. There will HAVE to be a peasant rebellion in it, just to free it from the shackles of its own government. Merlin is also right, in that it will not be pretty. Also, when it kicks off, the country will not stabilize for years.

During that time if turmoil, I would expect the two easternmost provinces of N. Harchong to secede, as they appear to be conquered members of the Borderlands. I also expect South Harchong to secede, either in whole or balkanize. Speaking of balkanizing, that could occur in Nothern Harchong proper as well.

What I wonder is this, why they aren't trying to instigate such a rebellion now, when it would help Siddarmark and the EoC in their struggle against the CoGA.

It would probably be premature to instigate a rebellion at this point. The bearucrats are pretty efficient even if they are corrupt. The time for rebeliion comes when the defeated Mighty Host goes home...with guns!

they would push harchong into rebellion as it gives the republic a great reason to secure its borders, and the choas could easily flow into the temple lands.
the army of god would be forced to be deployed to help stabilise the issue.
