Amazon.co.uk is not even putting up preview text yet. Have not tried other countries, suspect it's the same of up to page 47 at best.

Did notice there is over 100 pages of glossary/people at the end of the book. Would like more detailed maps (fold out maps!) but meh, it's still good stuff.

I only got the first 47 pgs as well. I do have an Amazon account just not a Prime account, plus I haven't ordered anything in a while. I wonder if either of those makes a difference.

Consecutively or intermittently?

Now I know why the snippets stopped where they did. That was darned good writing.

I was able to get a good sampling across the spectrum of the book including a nice scene involving our favorite "Avenging Son", one with 2 PICAS in action, and something that may (or may not) explain the cover. My favorite was the last line of the book. It reminded me of the wonderful way RFC ended the last one!

(Btw, I was logged in on my account from the web browser, not the app, I am not a Prime member, and I have made a couple of purchases in the last year. For what it's worth)

I am not by any means an expert on Amazon's policies. But I do remember before LAMA came out, some forum members got much more lengthy preview texts than others. And from what I remember, they attributed the fact that they got more pages in the "Look Inside" feature to having high value Amazon accounts.

Using the Suprise Me button will also sometimes unearth additional treasures

Not just amazon has a preview up. Google books has a preview version as well.

From what i recall while playing around with the last book you can actually get different page selections as well by using different browsers. (Firefox, IE, So on and so forth)

*Edit*
Preview with firefox was missing pages 160-162 for me, fired up IE and Tada there they were. So i can confirm that trick still works as well.

The "Look Inside" option did not show up when searching on Amazon, but it did show up when I followed the google search "hell's foundations quiver preview" results

go figure...

Tararoys wrote:Link please! I can't find the preview text on Amazon's website. Is it something you only get if you preorder the book?

I kept getting a timeout. However, my service has been glacial today, an all too common experience in Australia. All the same, I notice the "THE TURNING OF THE TIDE" teaser on the main webpage.

When I finally got in, I was allowed to get to page 49 before it skipped to the character list.
