Personally I'd like to see the Safeholdians go back to the stars and kick the Gabba right royally in their backside (that is of course if they have a backside).

I think people are underestimating the amount of info that DW has on Gabada

I suspect is tech "bible" has enough to create the core for a series of books on them being defeated.

I think of returning to the stars to defeat the Gbaba being the epilogue of the last book. To me, they seem like part of explaining how the situation that is the focus of the series came about and not much more than that.

Well David Weber has said that there would be a separate series about the rematch between humans and the Gbaba.

I want this so much, that I'm telling myself you probably misinterpreted something. :D

Apocalypse Troll
Empire from the Ashes
Excalibur Alternative
In Fury Born
Old Soldiers
Out of the Dark
Safehold

Each of those involves an alien polity that "done us wrong" and in not a single one have we gotten to read the story of humanity's throwdown with them. (I know Old Soldiers is set in someone else's universe, but I'm on a roll here. Work with me. ;) )

It would be really nice if the Safehold series, or even better a spin-off, finished its version of that story.

You've missed Dahak series, I think.

Isn't Empire from the Ashes the omnibus form of the Dahak series?

I`d be happy with that.

But I`d be just as happy if Mr Weber made a follow-up series of it -- I LIKE his writing.
