Third verse of the hymn "Onward Christian Soldiers":

Like a mighty army moves the church of God;
brothers, we are treading where the saints have trod.
We are not divided, all one body we,
one in hope and doctrine, one in charity.
(refrain)

So does that tell us what the book will be about?

Looks like I should have poked my nose back in this forum months ago.

No fair RFC - we had all the possible titles for the next book figured out, and you changed hymns on us! We went to a lot of work and I even suggested which books should have what titles. I guess we fans shouldn't tell the boss how to do his job. But just once I wanted to guess right. (Although I did say RFC might ruin all our guesses by picking a new hymn, so I'll take that as a partial victory...)

Here were my guesses for LAMA and beyond way back when... before RFC added "Onward Christian Soldiers" to the hymns whose text he can use for future titles:

Possible Future Book Titles
With those whose rest is won (Final book?)
On the Land and the Sea
Led through the deathly waters (Armageddon Reef?)
Rivers of Woe
The meek and lowly (Shall inherit Terra?)
On high may dwell (Back to space)
Past the border mountains (Capture Zion!)
Against both foe or traitor
Yet saints their watch are keeping (What's under the Temple?)
At home and abroad
Thy deepest distress
Through the deep waters
Through fiery trials (Pick your war)

Of course RFC may just pick another hymn for books 7+ so all our speculation becomes worthless. ;)

Fun Titles We'll Probably Never See!
The great Church victorious*
The Church shall never perish!

*Depending on which church of course...

Possible NEW book titles with OCS added to the mix:
Marching as to War
Forward into Battle
At the sign of triumph
Hell's foundations quiver
(Capture Zion!)
Loud your anthems raise
Moves the church of God
Where the saints have trod
(Archangels anyway)
We are not divided (Ooooooh!)
All one body we
One in hope and doctrine
Crowns and thrones may perish
(Yeek!)
Kingdoms rise and wane
This through countless ages
(Last book?)

Ok, I'm on the record now, which means RFC won't use any of the titles I just suggested! ;)

"Oh bother", said Pooh as he glanced through the airlock window at the helmet he'd forgotten to wear.

I keep expecting some Wesleyan hymns to show up; Who Would True Valour See? (which is actually Bunyan) or, if a starship does show up, Lo He Comes With Clouds Descending.

Reading old posts, and ran across this one. You got one out of two predictions right - Got the title, but then predicted the RFC would never use it.

Congratulations - care to try for the title to book 9?
