Actually I think it's possible that the Inquisition does have a file on the Brethren of St Zhernau ... However given how cautious the Brethren where about sharing the truth, said file probably lists them as being of no interest "poor and mainly a place of spiritual retreat for members of the clergy who aren't going to amount to much in the hierarchy" or similar.
Which is perfect for the Brethren IMHO. Not being noticed by the Inquisition is great, but having the Inquisition record that you're terminal boring and of no interest is even better!
