Folks, people are getting really sloppy. In just the last week, I have had to report half a dozen new threads focusing on the contents of LAMA. PLEASE mark your spoilers! When you want to start a thread about the contents of LAMA, mark the entire thread as a spoiler. If you bring up the contents of LAMA in a thread not marked as a spoiler thread, mark your post or part of your post as a spoiler.

Hi SWM,
You definitely have a point, but I'd think most readers know what's obviously in LAMA and avoid threads obviously related to it, if they haven't tread the book yet. Still courtesies should be observed. L
Any snippet or post from RFC is good if not great!

Agreed about courtesy so maybe all discussion of LAMA should be confined to this topic since any reading in LAMA should be expecting spoilers. Any other Safehold topics should NOT expect flash forward spoilers. |

Unfortunately TOR seem to have messed up the international publishing. USA publication date was 18th Feb and Amazon UK sent me the ebook on that date, but as of today they are still saying that the UK hardback publishing date is 17th March. Since, no doubt, other language editions will be even later, I take it that Tuesday is still the spoiler cut-off date?

I am curious. How many threads have had nothing to do with LAMA (or HFQ)?

I'd say at least 90% of all new threads in the last few weeks have dealt with LAMA. |

Lyonheart, how is someone who hasn't read LAMA supposed to know what a thread titled "Ahlvarez's AAR" is about until they open the thread and see a spoiler in the first sentence? That thread was started by you.
Please understand, I'm not picking on you. I'm just pointing out that quite often, you can't tell from the thread title whether a thread will have spoilers unless it is marked. --------------------------------------------

I second (or is that y now third or fourth?) the request. I was halfway through LAMA (yes, I am a slow reader) wanted to search to find the hidden significance in the name 'Dialydd Mab' and of course found one of the top links to this forum. I read through, posted my on thoughts, took a quick glance and avoided all the spoiler marked ones but was intrigued by the vaguely titled "Questions". Since it didn't have a spoiler tag in the title, I assumed that it some ongoing speculation that might be interesting. I open it and to my surprise it is not only a spoiler, but for the exact section of the book I was reading! I had just gotten past the establishment of the situation but had not yet read far enough to discover end result that was the basis of the question. (there, did I make that spoiler proof enough? ;) )
Yes, I should have realized that virtually everything on the top several pages would be about LAMA, and being half way through the book many of the spoiler thread titles were being uncomfortably suggestive, but if you make a thread title that vague you need to be especially careful with the spoiler tags because it will not be obvious to the casual reader until after opening the thread.
