Forum Rules & Information

Fans of Colin Maclntyre and the great starship Dahak should take a minute to stop in here for discussions about one of David's best-loved series.

Updated the Snerks/Spoils rule since it seemed like a bit of a kludge to me.

Also consider this a notice that, barring any objections, the rules will probably go into effect in a 2-3 weeks.

Hi, Duckk,

Congrats on the new 'job'. I'm sure you are being paid less than you are worth <grin>.

Please ask Gina if we could get an additional 'next page' button at the bottom of a forum page, so we don't have to jump back to the top to move on.

*grin* Most forum changes I can handle, but things that are going to be basic changes in the set-up of the page I have to pass up the foodchain...

But glad to help!

Can we please get the forum changed so that when we get done posting our message it automatically dumps us back into the Forum index we were reading instead of having to hit that stupid button everytime doing what we want to do everytime which is go to the rest of the topics in said forum!

We already read said topic. Why on earth would we want to be dumped back into said topic after we just got done posting to it?

Thanks!

Added a FAQ section and tweaked the ban rule for spammers.

Added fanfic rule. Sorry if this wasn't explicit before, this was something I took for granted as an "old timer" coming from the Bar.

Thanks for the Fan Fiction and Link to Wiki...

I don't know about DW's liability for using a fan idea as the Honorverse *is* his creation. Period.

But, subconcious conflicts could lead to writers block.

And, none of us waiting with bated (sp?) breath wants *that*!

But, anyway, the reason for this post is a request...

Could we have maybe a "Locked" Thread with the actual rules. And, then use this Thread to discuss them?

As a "Newbie" I went to the end of the thread looking, then had to start at the beginning... :)

It's a minor point. But, may make a difference for other "Newbies".
