An okay read but missing much of the DW flair.

While it had some cool stuff and funny moments (see "Mercury Historical Preservation Society"), the book was pulp sf that is ok in small doses but wears thin at length and far from what I expected in a DW book; also as any other time-travel book I've read (where time travel happens both ways and all the time so to speak, not the one way travel ones) the book is quite solipsistic and it just doesn't hold suspension of disbelief with the "poof I moved my little finger and a universe appears or disappears" being par for the course
Overall sub-mediocre and only the occasional laugh out loud moments kept me reading but I definitely have no plan to read more in this setting |
