If those two rings are one each of M'sT & WS, they need to use different red colors (Blood-Red for the M'sT is canon, Purple for the wound stripe would be evocative to anyone familiar with US military's purple heart). Maybe they should also be of different widths; I cannot see a crown on either, but that could well be the angle.

With two different red sleeve stripes, one would think one of them would go on the upper arm and the other on the lower arm.

e.g. if the Blood-Red M'sT goes between the thin Gold MiD and the grade rings.

By that logic, the crew of the current space station should be wearing space suits all the time. But they don't, and neither did the space shuutle crews (and the Apollo crews) once they reached orbit. The environment maintained aboard the shuttle, ISS...and Honorverse ships called a "shirt sleeve environment" for a reason, wearing a space suit inside a sealed ship is way too excessive.

No, the uniform as seen in image 4 is just another example of the spandex look that's all too rampant in sci-fi movies. There needs to be daily "working" uniform, something like regular trousers and shirt (either long or short-sleeved). The US Navy has gone to this blue-black-gray digi-camo working uniform that may seem odd at first, but I'd think something like it would be way cool for the Honorverse movie--it puts the emphasis on the military side, not the sci-fi one.

The black and gold trousers and tunic with the full markings (as seen from Bu9) and beret should be the officers' service dress uniform. So at the beginning of OBS when Honor takes command of the Fearless, that's what she's wearing. I always thought it odd that David never had a less-formal uniform for daily working use.

I spent some time pondering the uniforms. I agree to varying degrees with what many people have posted. Uniforms #3 and #4 look uncomfortably tight. They might work as skinsuits, but as regular duty uniforms for daily wear, they don't seem quite right. I like the cut and the black color of uniform #2, but the belt buckle still seems too large (although I like the idea of wearable tech incorporated into clothing). The problem with uniform #2 is that it lacks the clear rank insignia and other identifiers of uniform #3 and lacks the white beret of a starship captain as seen in uniform #4.

In my humble opinion, I'd like to see you keep the cut and color of uniform #2, with the collar, insignia, and patches of uniform #3, and the beret of uniform #4. If you could shrink the belt buckle in #2, that would be good also.

Fair enough, but dont we get a description of easy it is to take on/off a skinsuit, meaning its effectively like a futuristic overalls? so it should be easy to 'go' without needing the plumbing, or to activate the plumbing when necessary?

But isnt part of that due to the bulkiness and limited movement in the suits? what if the suits were form fitting, but didnt restrict movement in any way at all, were easy to take on and off, had a good working A/C, and had the bonus of protecting you in case of atmospheric loss? In my mind, they were a cross between the protection of a drysuit/ spacesuit from the environment, had the lycra form fitting, but were still comfortable to wear like normal clothes, and didnt restrict movement, so the only indirectly stated downside of them was that they wreren't the flashy uniforms that we see on the covers, or in real life?

No, we get a description of throwing on a skinsuit and making the plumbing connections with 'painful' haste, so it's something that does take some care.

I don't know about you, but no matter how good the tech I'm not going to be comfortable with something automatically fiddling around down there.

Plumbing connections are important!!! Even if you have never worn a spandex unitard, wearing something like a jumpsuit or snowmobile suit or even "bib overalls", there are limits. A bit easier to guys (though the examples in the artwork don't show and "zippers" in front) but there are things best done sitting down. Everybody ends up with a snowmobile suit down and that ilk around their knees for some visits to the "head". Peeling out of a uniform like that is going to get old really quick.

Using tape measure and typing in measurements the chief quickly entered data, the fitting of the pneumatic expanding catheters in the urethra and anus took longer, and far less fun for poor Pappy. "You get ten sets with the suit change each day and clean and sterilize between times. Use this jelly to prevent excess chafing the tube is metal on the inside to prevent collapse when the plastic expands to prevent urine or feces leaking in your suit be careful inserting to not rupture the urethra or anus. It's uncomfortable but less so than sitting in your own waste, not to mention the danger of aspersion air way obstruction and, the resulting bath afterwards."
