Set it on Fire.
Pour the ashes and the nonflamable remains into a wat of high grade acid. Place the wat into nuclear reactor and detonate. if there is still anything remaining collect it, place into a ground to space missile and fire that missile into the sun. =-.--.--.*.--.--.-=

On another note, the gun looks to be a two barreled version of the pulser carbine, with underslung grenade launcher, sans stock.

Okay...no hyperbole, just a calm analysis.
Nimitz does not look good here. This appears to be an example of playing around with the design just because you can, and the design is simply Not Good. Even away from canon, it looks so derivative and unimaginative that it would drive me away from picking up the comic, no matter what I knew about the universe. Designs, especially for a drawn medium like this, should be clean and straightforward, with minimal bells and whistles. The Nimitz design here is too complex, difficult to reproduce consistently inside, and generally not good. I like the beret, though. |

Poll needs a few more options.
This is actually good progress, IMO. They even got the ears right, IMO. Plus it is really hard to judge things out of context. My opinion should not be taken with much weight as I am so far out of the target audience it is not funny. Only comic I have bought in the last 30 years was when the Schlock series was a PDF from Baen. I can't remember what the actual last movie was that I went to. Last DVD I bought was collection of old John Wayne movies, think one before that was The Long Ranger TV eps with Clayton Moore. But hey I have the full series of the "Peel" Avengers (64,65,66) and A&E's Hornblower (8 disks). Part of the reason that I don't comment in these threads. Trying to sell to me is a money losing proposition. Climbs back in his hole. Reaches up and zips it shut. Have fun, T2M PS what is this Bluray thing all these people keep talking about. -----------------------

Nimitz looks way too spindly. He is adapted to a heavy grav world yet has the long limbs and slight joints of a San Miguel native. Treecats are strong and very quick. Their limbs are not only for climbing bit also for attacking. As depicted Nimitz doesn't look capable of mayhem even if his expression suggests he is ready to try.

Where to start?
Better not to start. Someone should extract a few descriptions of Treecats in general and Nimitz in particular and ask the artist to try and come close. One scene would be Honor combing out Nimitz on Hades you might even have to get a couple of pages into the book to find it. How about reading all the way throught the short story "Beautiful Friendship" You know, BASIC stuff. I don't recall anything about metallic lizards with winglike chiten cowlicks on their faces but what do I know except having read some 20 books and anthologies which included treecats in some way? |

All I have to say is if your 15 year old daughter brought home this as a pet, would you welcome it into your home or instinctivly run for a shotgun in the defense of your family?
That's what I thought..... ******
RFC said "refitting a Beowulfan SD to Manticoran standards would be just as difficult as refitting a standard SLN SD to those standards. In other words, it would be cheaper and faster to build new ships." |

I'd like to see cuter and cuddlier for Nimitz, but only to a point.
Still, given the literature genre treecats seem to have inspired in the Honorverse, Nimitz and company should be able to inspire something along the lines of a My Little Treecat : Celery is Magic holovid series. If only so we can make Pokermind the chief "Bro-'cat" and give Mange a cutey-mark! |
