Evergreen,
How often does the game refresh with the game center or save to the device. My concern is losing information in the event that I have to switch apps or shut down. How is this addressed. Sometimes the achievement section won't refresh (logged out??) and that is kinda of what brought on my concerns. CM radar still flashes and I seriously think its letting some hits through. I checked to make sure my CM damage alert was up but no hits against it. I'll try reconfiguring my CM room or logoff and logon to see if it might be me and my iOS. Earlier I posted about locked missions passing by and something I did unlocked the first one in this level. I have no rhyme or reason. When I figure it out I'll let you know and when I do if anyone wants to know how PM (uh-oh need to re-edit previous post I acronym'd hull penetrators as PMs ) me. Locked missions will usually say what the unlock condition is. All of them revolve around grinding out a certain type of random encounter (e.g. slavers, Havenites, etc).

I'll try to pay more attention. When I play again, I'll reread the messages around the locked items and planets. Thank you Potato. That was one of my peeves ... The automatic zoom on the target wreaked havoc on my defensive Situation Awareness of defense. Please make it an option. I know I should be concentrating on the tiny tactical plot across the bottom if I want any real SA, but the big display is an eye magnet. |

I've spent as much time over the last few days as I can (err, more) playing, and I really had fun with it. But I'm a little concerned that I'm starting to feel almost done with it. What's the scope of this intended to be?
Okay so the game takes liberties with the canon. I get that might be needed to make the game playable for the masses. But I wonder just how far down the garden path this will go, if the goal is to introduce more people to the battle physics. Is this gameplay model constraining how the movie or other materials will work? Please give the player at least some choice in interacting with the in-game characters, like I Civ does with competing rulers. In the books, the strategy was in the maneuver and subterfuge/misdirection. Here it's in the missile selection per salvo and defense options. I understand that you gotta start with the most basic parts, but please tell us there's more structure coming! Maybe my expectations are mis-set, since I don't know much about the business dynamics of the gaming industry. Lots has to depend on the uptake and revenue it generates. So ... What's in the pipeline and what's on the drawing board if it generates a decent return? (Understanding that the return might happen later when the movie is released, or not.) |

Hi DCA, This was basically our MVP (minimum viable product), a new version 1.1 was submitted to Apple today which includes a few fixes and Chapter 3 (which is about the same length as 1&2 combined). The game is constantly live so we will be updating it with features and additional Chapters over time, hoping to stay ahead of the consumption curve! 1.3 will have live events included (not multiplayer so much as competitive challenges). We're totally open to suggestions of where you'd like it to go but adding ship maneuvering is probably off the radar at the moment. Mostly this is down to the additional complexity this would add to the game, we've really tried to keep loyal to the feel and dynamics of the Honorverse while keeping the barrier of entry down so that we can appeal to a broad audience. But again as a live game we can constantly monitor people's reaction and requests. With regards to the games influence over the movie ; there is none, our position is to take each medium we're developing on and try to make the most successful adaptation on that platform. We want great comics, great games and great movies - and thus while each should inform the other in some way stylistically the actual content will be dedicated. 1.1 should be live later this week. |

I would just like to thank Yow for posting all his videos of play. They definitely got me interested, although I guess I have to wait for the android version. Is there anyone else playing who might also upload videos to Everplay?

I hate you. How does one live down being schooled by a potato?!? Just kidding. I slowed down and reviewed the labels around the planets and clues started popping up. Great catch. Curious about your forum name. Is it a good story? Cthia's father ~ "Son, do not cater to the common belief that a person has to earn respect. That is not true. Not really. It is just my favorite food. It was the first thing that popped into my head when I was thinking of usernames.
