I admire your willpower, sir.

You must have set some kind of record on that turnaround time right there, tvtropes will ruin your life. (Or at least the rest of the afternoon if my experience is anything to go by. )

Like I said, I had other things I needed to do. And a wife telling me "HURRY UP!!!"

Rose, it would be great, but Joss is obligated on major money projects for about 5 years out, and is the hottest (read: most expensive) SF/comic director in the business right now. Signing him for a 12 year series obligation is pure fantasy, and they almost certainly can't afford it. That's why I sort of exempted him by name in my original post. BTW, Joss is properly referred to as "that Buffy god who did Firefly and Dr Horrible and Avengers." :D

AFIK, Kenneth Branagh is almost as bad, in those same respects, AND he reserves part of his working schedule for his stage work. He does have a reputation of honoring the source material, however. Possibly a hold over from his Shakespearian roots.

PS - I don't think they have a prayer of getting Peter Jackson either <grin>.

I understand that George doesn't actually LIKE to direct.

As long as we are floating completely helium-filled pies, how about his buddy Steve. He's directed one or two good films. <Bolthole! Bolthole! Bolthole! >
