Has anyone besides me noticed that often in the same newspaper on the same day will be one article describing how many fewer jobs are currently available (generally 20-50 million depending on who's counting) than there should be to keep the same percentage of the population employed as was employed in 2008. Then in the same paper on the same day will be an article from some economic expert (usually a tenured professor with guaranteed lifetime employment) complaining that unemployment benefits are the problem and if only they didn't exist people would go to work.

Try being in the position of being capable of doing virtually anything but companies are terrified to hire you because you had suffered a catastrophic injury on the last job and had to file work comp. |
