Taliban mad-dog terrorists versus Islamic State mad-dog terrorists (apologies to the canine race!)! The battlefield war weary Afghanistan. Who’s going to come off best? Both sides are equally well versed in the art of atrocities and the slaughter of the innocent. The Taliban are on home ground and have the numbers. The IS might be able to attract the remnants of The Caliphate; hiding in their rat holes, after they were kicked out of Syria and Iraq. Maybe even financial funding from the looting of the territory they once controlled. No matter who wins, the looser like always will be the common people of Afghanistan. Dark outsider al-Qaeda!!! |

I guess it was to be expected since the Taliban is smart enough to concentrate their efforts of uniting Afghanistan which means IS is detrimental to their efforts and the Taliban will go after IS whenever they can. Many people think the Taliban and the IS has the same goals or are the same thing which is very far from the truth and I expect these types of attacks will escalate as the friction between the two groups increases.

Ironic isn’t it?
The Taliban having come out on top is now apparently going to be in a position of fighting an insurgency, by an enemy even more vicious and indifferent to atrocities then they themselves were/are. (see header!) Having driven the “Infidels” out of their country, what’s the first thing the first thing the victors do? Why, they immediately return to doing what Afghans have been doing since time immemorial: internecine fighting amongst themselves!!! https://www.independent.co.uk/asia/sout ... 11634.html |
