Except that the people who believe that the 2A is an effective safeguard against tyranny (spoiler alert: it isn't) are really easy to suborn. A lot of them are already Trump supporters; if Trump were to declare himself a Dictator for life because there's no other way to keep the evil foreigners out, build the wall, MAGA, drain the swamp, WIN WIN WIN or whatever other slogans he had, a significant portion of the 2A idiots would follow and applaud him without a second thought.

You say that, but Australia has a King/Queen and have had about half the constitutional amendments ( Adjusted for time) that the USA has.

Civilized behavior may warrant calling people dogs, just saying. I've known any number of guys who are dogs in almost every derogatory sense of the word. Hell, it might be an injustice to dogs to call some men(and a few women) by that name. I've seen them all over the US and in many foreign countries.

Sometimes you have to call a spade a spade, and others should be open minded enough to either accept that as the truth or to honestly evaluate if it is true.

That doesn't mean that people don't deliberately make things up, view something differently or plain old disagree over subjects. When it's one of those things civilized behavior, in my view, would mean not reverting to childish name calling or temper-tantrums of any sort.

Gcomeau: you contend that Trump is liar and may well be right. How do you explain Obama and HRC putting a man in jail and blaming what happened in Libya on him. How do you explain why Obama and Hilary lied about what happened? Why did they lie about a Terrorist incident?
