So in 2017 nobody died in a commercial airline accident.

Trump hears this, and declares on Twitter that he has been "very strict on commercial aviation" so good news! No deaths this year!

He tried to take credit for airline safety records.

His first year in office.

(This is a GLOBAL airline safety statistic by the way.)

When he has done LITERALLY NOTHING about airline safety. Not domestically and sure as hell not globally. The only thing I can think of is a promised *loosening* of regulations that ensure safety as part of his general infantile "regulation bad, slash slash slash!!!!" shtick.

He's pathological.

It gets worse.

In the US it's been 8 years I believe.

And someone did die on a commercial flight in the US last year. Just not on an accident.

And does he even realize that the thing he is lying about doing would involve *enforcing evil evil regulations* against the airline business????

It's just crazy, someone shows him some press clipping of some positive statistic and he just cannot help himself. He has to try to take credit no matter what that means he has to say.
