This is his idea of a Memorial day message from the President. An announcement that on Memorial day all the fallen soldiers should be proud of a bunch of things Donald Trump is taking credit for but Obama actually did.

That on this day what should be happening is the stroking of the ego and the kissing of the ass of the 5 time draft dodger who regularly insults prope whi have actually served or the gold star families of those who did.

A more worthless piece of human garbage has never occupied the Oval Office.

Perhaps some of the US citizens on here can explain how a highly popular TV star (Rosanne) can be instantly sacked for a racist tweet, costing the network hundreds of millions of dollars, yet when the President tweets that refugees are animals, murderers and rapists he stays in his position?

Because, unfortunately, the President doesn't have a moral clause in his contract. (Though it might be argued that the oath of office could be considered to hold such moral considerations involved in it.) Rosanne most likely does have such a clause in her contract which will allow ABC to terminate her contract without prejudice in the event of a violation of the clause.

Most major contracts with individuals by their employer have such contracts, especially where stars are involved. Stars are too visible and too visibly tied to their shows, networks, etc. Like Trump, anything they say is often attributed as representing those organizations too. As shown, ABC couldn't afford the wealth of bad press and instant backlash that came from Rosanne's tweet.

Additionally ABC is a for profit organization that has the right to hire and fire anyone for most anything they do. Unlike elected officials. The only way to fire them is if they break the law and get successfully prosecuted for it, the voters vote for a different candidate next time around or something so shameful occurs, and they're proven to be involved, that they resign.

ABC is owned by Disney. Disney makes a lot of money these days making films (and toys and TV shows and and and) aimed at a young and diverse crowd. They really do not want to be seen as promoting or supporting someone who seems to be really deep into the whole new racism thing.

D'Souza used straw donors to violate election finance law. He was guilty. Everyone knows he was guilty. He pled guilty.

There is no "very unfair" in him getting convicted. What there is is Trump having the opportunity to issue a decree that someone who spouts off insane conspiracy theories he likes and offers him full throated support shall be granted a pardon just because he can. That his political allies shall be granted protection from the law.

And now we have Trump making comments to reporters he might commute Blagoyovich's sentence.

Anyone detecting a pattern in the kinds of crimes he doesn't like people being convicted of?

* Arpaio: Racial discrimination and contempt of court
* D'Souza: Campaign finance violations
* Blagoyovich: Blatant corruption and abuse of his political office for personal gain.
