Anyone else see the irony in this?

Covid-19 is Earth's Lacoon.
With the grounding of some flights, Lacoon II.

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense

On a lighter note...

Panic buying 'targets' differ from nation to nation

Brits go for toilet rolls
The Dutch queue for weed
Americans line up for guns and ammo

Of course, you need really, really tiny little bullets for COVID 19 :-)

And Russians calmly buy the hand sanitizes.

Let's shorten it to very end - the length of Fuhrer's grave.

A family in Australia bought 2,304 rolls of toilet paper. He says it was an ordering snafu, if you're buying it, 'cause he's selling it, if you later find out that you have to, you know... shit, but realize you can't because he's got you by the balls.

What's that about the greed of free market in America?

By the way, Cuba is sending medical help to Italy. 25 doctors and 10 tons of medical supplies - including large quantity of Interferon alfa-2b - are set to arrive soon, augmenting the Chinese medical help.

Where is our pocket dr. Goebbels who insisted that Cuban medicine did not even have the most basic materials, I wonder?...

Ah - yes - he was actually trying to buy 2.304 rolls of TP and the decimal place moved 3 to the right!

Well, this will be fun...

I'm choosing to see this as more downtime to dive into some books I've been meaning to get to...

If he ended up with Charmin it's a software problem.

Any other brand, and it's a hardware problem. Although I like it rough when it comes to toilet paper. The next brand of TP that's responsive for me raping myself when I wipe, is getting sued for alienation of affection.

Once upon a time [many years back] the Telegraph was a serious conservative paper - my parents used to get it - and I read it most days.

How are the mighty fallen?

It has since become something suitable for when the toilet rolls run out - except it would probably poison you or rot your a***

It is now ridden by anti-European hatred, and is about as serious as the national enquirer [I think that's the US joke paper?].

The National Enquirer generally is a joke. However; they occasionally do some serious investigative journalism that uncovers serious charter issues with certain politicians s who normally are protected by the lamestream media.

It is an ironic as well as accurate metaphor.
