Just a day ago they overthrew previous government, and today they machinegunned civilians from helicopter.

It remains unclear if this was a popular revolt or a military coup. It is doubtful that a new civilian government could so quickly consolidate power over the military so as to order the machine gunning of civilian protestors. Most likely it is agents of the deposed dictator who are being targeted.

Seems to be the military coup on the wave of popular dissent. Thing is, Bolivia is heavily divided between pro-Morales natives (who form the majority of poor and middle-class), and anti-Morales whites (who form the rich elite), so they probably though that they would avoid a civil war that way...

Problem is, that those who came to power are very radical right-wing minority. Basically, they are fascists, of Spanish model, mainly from white elite. Hardly those peoples would be able to consolidate the divided nation (especially considering that the new fundamentalist dictator already insulted the natives, claiming that "their religion must gone from here"). I'm concerned that the situation might degrade to another civil war in the middle of America, which would be... a source of problems for everyone in neighborhood.

This is a reasonably accurate analysis. The Americas are a laboratory of evolution in action.

The native Americans in the area that became the United States and Canada had never achieved the level of civilization and population density of the Aztecs and Inca plus they had experienced climate change and plague that decimated the population. There were plenty of atrocities committed, but the climate encouraged a level of immigration from Europe that totally overwhelmed the natives. Many Americans including myself have some native American ancestry (I have Nez Perce and Cherokee) but we don't think of ourselves as Native American. The few people who are of predominantly native American ancestry are to few to matter.

Mexico had a large native American population with an advanced agrarian civilization, but Cortez brought them plagues. The plagues ravaged the population and was especially lethal for males. Most people in Mexico have a European Y chromosome and a native American mitochondria. Cortez was renowned for his eagerness to inseminate the natives hence we have Congresswoman Alexandria Cortez. If her Great to the fifteenth Grandpa was alive today, he would inseminate her. Only the elites are pure Spanish. The full blood native Americans are a small underclass.

Europeans didn't do so well in South America except for Argentina. Brazil is actually heavily African with lots of full blood native American and hybrids.


The bottom line is that the class structures in Latin America are defined mostly by race. The white elites want to maintain not just their own wealth but the political power to impose poverty on the underclass.

I am seriously anti-Marxist, but the opposition to enabling economic development is evil too.

There are no good solutions to Latin America's political problems but Americans no longer care to try. Brazil and Argentina are going nuclear again and this time America will not intervene.
