I have noticed that when using the latest post link in the topics list I always get taken to the top of the page with the latest post, not the latest post itself.

What are the rules and recommendations about discussing religion?
Like politics, it's hard to avoid in this context, but obviously hazardous. I was musing about religion recently, where the problem may have been mentioning contemporary Earth religions, and a non-moderator regular warned me away from the topic. I dropped the subject because the warning made sense. If there's a cromulent way to apply the history of Terran religions to the future of Langhorneism that isn't Dangerous to the Forum, it's an area I'd like to explore. But not at the risk of a flame war. |

If it's relevant to the subforum (such as Safehold, where religion plays a pretty big role), then discussion is fine so long as it remains topical. Off topic of course goes to Free Range.

Courtesy & clarity are always good! Phrases that imply that people of opposing views to you are either fools or knaves is not! Treat people and their thinking seriously - it is quite clear that there are deeply thoughtful people on both sides and that should be honoured. |

Uhh... ok? Not sure how that's relevant to the operation of the forum.

I did a topic search on the word "acronym"... got a bunch of hits on the specific word, but not much of general guidance on translations. Is there a thread here somewhere that lists common (Honorverse) forum acronyms? -brian |

We've had people post acronyms before, but as you've seen they're buried in the post history. As my Thanksgiving break project, I'll look into putting up an acronym page to the site.

Did the width of the topic page change? It seems that the am/pm moved to create a new line and thus less topics are displayed per page.
