Other cool Dragon books/series...
Dragonriders of Pern - Anne McCaffrey - THE series that formalized the whole awesomeness of riding Dragons. Enchanted Forest Chronicles - Patricia C Wrede - A rather different take on Dragons and those around them. Dragon Jousters - Mercedes Lackey - Inspired by ancient Egypt, Dragons as weapons and transport. Temaraire - Naomi Novik - The Napoleonic wars with giant dragons Halfblood Chronicles - Mercedes Lackey/Andre Norton - Shapeshifting Dragons, Elves and Mages. Council Wars - John Ringo - One sentient Dragon and quite a few Wyverns as steeds. -- Warning - mature themes. A Wizard In Rhyme - Christopher Stasheff - Poetry is magic... literally. ~~~~~~

Dragonsbane, by Barbara Hambly
One Good Knight, by Mercedes Lackey ——————————— How To Destroy A Dragon Scale (according to Mercedes Lackey) 1. Soak the scale in vinegar for two or three days 2. Dry it out completely — takes three or four more days 3. Pound it to tiny bits with a large hammer This procedure is much easier if the scale is not still on the dragon. |

And how exactly this sentence correspond with the topic theme?... ------------------------------
Oh well, if shortening the front is what the Germans crave, Let's shorten it to very end - the length of Fuhrer's grave. (Red Army lyrics from 1945) |

That comment needs to go to the "Guns, Guns, Guns" topic in Politics.
Before it does I'll ask one question. If the police decide to arrest you, and you believe that they shouldn't, do you then pull out a gun and shoot them? That's going to end well.

Actually, Nimitz is gone.
His account no longer exists. He was crunchy and tasted good with ketchup.... Oh, wait. Sorry, he got hammered by a Duckk, not a dragon... ~~~~~~

Love me some Dragon fantasy so I'll check Melanie Rawn for sure. Haven't heard of her before so cheers for making me aware of her works. Right now I'm reading the second book of the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson. Couldn't recommend it more to lovers of fantasy. |
