I've really enjoyed David's books. I read a lot of military science fiction.

When I can, I prefer to support authors directly.

Does David Weber have a paypal account that I can make a small contribution to?

No, he doesn't. The only way of giving him money is by buying his books.

You can also buy his books in bulk, to distribute to friends across the pond, or just next door, and to libraries.

You may also interest other friends to read his work, thus becoming ensnared in the web that is Honor's.

Buying even one extra copy and giving it to the right person could do more for David - the domino effect of fan purchases.

Or buy his e-ARCs from Baen. IIRC, I don't believe Baen takes the same cut from e-ARCs(if they take anything at all) as it does for the published books.

Baen is a private enterprise, not a writers coop. Of course they take a cut!

You're correct that the writer gets significantly more for the e-ARC, but that's because _you_ pay significantly more. TTBOMK, royalty rate on all Baen e-books is now 25%, the old e-ARC rate, so there's not actually a bigger return for the early release anymore.

TTBOMK - To the best of my knowledge.
