Sad, sad news...the grown-up incarnation of Archie is going to be fatally shot in the newest edition of 'Life with Archie', #36, intercepting a bullet meant for Kevin Keller.
This is very sad news, although his other incarnations will fortunately continued. I've really enjoyed the adult Archie, and am very sad to see him go... |

Never was a big fan of Archie comics, even when I was young, outside of the age-old question (Betty or Veronica? ).
Still, if the comics can kill off Captain America, I guess Archie can get bumped off too. ***********************************************

Archie's always been such a clean-cut character...the archetypical boy-next-door, so I always thought Veronica would balance him out much better. Of course, MY favourite has always been Dagwood |

The one thing about the death of comic book heroes, is they have an uncanny skill at getting resurrected! I don’t know how many times I as a kid read of the death of Batman, Superman etc., only to have them resurrected in the next episode. I could really feel for Kathy Bates in her role in Misery. |

I'm still waiting for Li'l Abner and Daisy Mae to make their comeback. _
