I was sitting and thinking. We see much of the Honorverse military tech. What should some of the non-military applications be?

What is the commercial application of com calls? Cell phones should be extremely clear and video calls are the norm.

Regarding counter-grav, can it be made small enough for skate boards? "Back To the Future."

Can you imagine The World's Fair? Or would that be the System Fair where the Fair is actually in space and the amusement rides are not so...amusing anymore!

With rides named like "Orion's Belt."
"The Black Hole."
"Hell's Perdition," or the latest amusement ride "Escape from Cerberrus."

Remote controlled toys in the Honorverse!

Can you imagine these things in the Honorverse, built with Honorverse tech?!

Are there flachette pellet guns? I bet water guns are pressurized "put-your-eye-outters," pegging targets, your sister, at over 75 yards away! Parents are no longer frightened of the Red Rider BB gun putting an eye out, but the old safe water gun.

Apache Attack Helicopter!!

Is this a Helly LAC?

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense

Can't comment on the other ideas, but King Roger died in a "grav skiing accident" and the description of grav ski boards certainly suggest a similarity with BTTF skateboards.

Not to mention, there are countless references to personal grav belts for safety (Honor doesn't use 'em when hang gliding), or foe folks not used to higher gravity world (the YA Stephanie Harrington/treecat books).
