More expensive cables work better but only I extreme circumstances. I kitted out my SACD setup with higher end Monster but use middle range AR cables on the theatre. My projector itself uses cheap industrial 50-80' cables, and works fantastic. Computer network or the like cables I make myself from cheap1000' coils.
USB cables not usb3 have a 16 foot range. If you have a 50' cable it doesn't matter how good it is. It is the signal source that matters. ________________________________________

I buy my cables at just under 19 bucks for a 5m hdmi cable, so thats about a buck a foot. ive seen $45 for a 4 foot cable though....
Ive found specialty stores do much cheaper than general electronic stores, and for me, I use a NZ price comparison website before all purchases. Has probably saved me $100's in <2 years from buying cables, pc parts, speakers, etc. `
