I weigh 240+ pounds so spending a fortune on a bike that weighs six grams is foolish. In that respect your cliche applies perfectly.

I out weigh you which is why i always am on the look out for a new Banana seat. I have an old one and am considering mounting it on my Mountain bike. I also have a folding bike with wide saddle/seat from the 60's. But I crashed it 30 years ago and need to have a pedal fixed / replaced / unbent. ________________________________________

Still i wonder about a Solar powered RV. Solar array is big enough, space for batteries and an MDI generator. Water recycling blue to grey to black. Some grey (rain barrel) is processed to potable. Could be electrically distilled or just UV filtered. Add a wind turbine and a wing sail. Maybe Tesla will come through.

I finally got to ride in an electric hybrid car. Pris is. (Pre ish) Misspelled. Very impressive. (Edit: Prius) We need to address the total carbon footprint but this will improve. What will we have in electric vehicles in the near future? I also saw, (but did did not fly) (Edit: Fly in, not fly) an electric airplane. Very impressive also. We are on the way.

Have a look at the BMW i3 with Rex.
A real electric car with a small engine for just incase you run out of juice on the road. The engine is a generator that creates electricity if you get below 5% battery life. otherwise you just drive electric. ________________________________________

MPGe vs MPG.
MPGe is calculated as such. 1 Gallon or 3.7 litres of fuel at US$3.75 1 KWh of electricity at US$0.12 so a BMW i3 that gets 130 MPGe is based upon the above numbers Where I live. 1 Gallon US @ Cdn$3.25 1 KWh of electricity at Cdn$0.033 Cdn$1 = US$0.76 (1.32) or The BMW i3 gets 719 MPGe in Calgary Canada. If recharged on solar only the MPGe is infinite once the solar is paid for. ________________________________________
