For all the citizens of the Commonwealth nations out there!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_Commonwealth_Games Weather forecast currently predicting a balmy 24 degree Celsius in Glasgow for the Opening Ceremony in Celtic Park. There will be 71 participating nations at the games with approximately 4,900 competing athletes making it one of the largest commonwealth games staged to date. Sooo, whose going to top the medal table? Australia again? Mike. ---------------------

Reminds me of the Little Britain one liner. "It's not true that they don't have summer in Scotland. Last year it was on 3d of July."

Reminds me of comic Bill Cosby's description of Seattle in the USA's Washington State, getting a 'rain ran', https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7qDNEhSlcM Poker CPO Poker Mind and, Mangy Fur the Smart Alick Spacecat.

Yawn. There are millions of we Brits who've had more than enough sport on our screens this year, and the BBC is now 'treating' us to these Games as well. So some will be watching old detective shows on reruns instead (my wife) and others will be reading books and ebooks (me).
Cheers John

Ach, weel, just thought I'd point it out!
Since Australia's topped the medal table the last 6 games, I think they have a good chance of doing so again. Mike. ---------------------
