I was thinking Hyper Heuristic mode myself. Then I began to wonder if even in HH mode RFC could finally finish all his book series, collaborations, special projects, and new story ideas. I am afraid that he would rapidly find that what he thought would only take two or three more books to finish a series would with the extra time grow to 10. His collaborations would end up with wasted weeks and months waiting for a reply back from people not running in HH mode. His list of special projects has probably always been trimmed in the back of his mind by the limitations of time and all the other work he has and once the time limitation is gone the bottom drops out of the special projects list and the number of projects to start grows almost exponentially. And the new ideas may turn into the new series ideas with the obvious impact on workload.

Of course, the VR would also need to have a place for Sharon to keep him organized, fed, and sane. And then more room for all the proofreaders, publisher's agents, first readers, etc. It would end up being a very LARGE VR!

And then the rest of us may need to put ourselves in hyper-heuristic mode in order to read and enjoy the mountain of output he would generate. But boy would it be worth it!

Hello,
I notice that this thread has been dormant since April 2020. I would appreciate an update, concerning current affairs of 2021 please. Hopefully I am not alone in my curiosity.
Have a nice summer, all of you!

Hello,
I have noticed that the latest update on David's planed schedule is from nov 16 2020, and in the thread "David status update (EDIT: Webers recovering from COVID)". The latest film on the Weberverse YouTube channel is from dec 22 2020.

The information appear to be dated, to say the least. Can we please have an update, with the plans for 2022?

Best regards from Sweden

I decided to sum up the results of mr Webers 2019 plans. As of February 2025, this is current status:
__________________________________________________________________
1) Tom Pope and I need to get the current Manticore Ascendant novel back on track; Tim Zahn has been waiting patiently (fortunately he had other things he could do) for us for entirely too long. Part of that is the concussion effect on my part and part of it is Real Life on Tom's part. The ball is back in my court on the tactical portions of the novel, and that is my next project in line.

Result: A Call to Insurrection (2022)

(2) Jane Lindskold and I have signed contracts with Toni Weisskopff for three more Star Kingdom novels.

Result: A new cland (2022), Friends Indeed (2025)

(3) Richard fox and I will be doing a prequel series to In Fury Born. It won't deal with the characters from Fury but rather with the creation of the Terran Empire under Terrence Murphy.

Result: Governor (2021), Rebel (2024)

(4) Eric Flint and I are working on the next Crown of Slaves novel, which will be set immediately after Uncompromising Honor and follow Victor and Anton (and new recruits Damien and Indiana) as they go hunting for the core of the Alignment onion. At least some of the Solarian Ghost Hunters will also be making an appearance.

Resutl: To end in fire (2021)

(5) Jacob and I are looking at some overhaul of the Valkyrie Protocol after editorial input from Toni, and once that's out of the way, we will be starting work on the next novel in that series.

Result: The Janus file (2022), The weltall file (2023), The Thermopyle protocol (2024)

(6) I am looking at a collaborative sequel to The Apocalypse Troll, and I will be discussing that with my probable collaborator tomorrow afternoon.

Result: None Yet (AFAIK)

(7) In the next week or so I will be doing a short story for Chris Kennedy's Trouble in the Wind anthology.

Result: Published (2019)

(8) As soon as I have all of my short stories out the door and have caught up with my part of the collaboration with Tim and Tom, I will be breaking ground on the sequel to Through Fiery Trials, which is my next solo project.

Result: None Yet (AFAIK)

(9) My next solo project for Baen will be the sequel to The Sword of the South, which should follow directly after the next Safehold novel.

Result: None Yet (AFAIK)

(10) And my next solo Honorverse project will be the story of Alfred Harrington's Marine service.
Result: Toll of honor (2024)

The result for this should be "Nothing Yet". _Toll of Honor_ is an "extra" title that was not planned 6 years ago.
