at least it is better than some of what passes for humor in the honorverse.

very well, will give you a choice. read either robert asprins myth series or douglas adams hitchikers series.

How about for military humor Asprin's Phules Company? Where it ill advised not to make jokes about the cooks cooking, or jokes about Super Gnats height,
