Did David give any indication at Dragoncon of when there will be another Honorverse novel?

Not at Dragoncon, but he wrote in his intro to a snippet he posted in the Safehold section on July 9 that one of the reasons for delay in the snippets is that he is working now on the follow up in Honorverse to Shadow of Freedom. So given his past performances and Baen's, expect it in to the publisher this year and on the shelves late spring next year.

Curiously, the current publishing schedule at baen.com only goes four months ahead. Usually it is six months ahead, and sometimes as much as eight months.

I was going to say that late spring seemed unlikely to me, but I'm not sure what the short schedule might mean.

Baen posts the schedule by publishing season, Oct-Jan, Feb-May, and June-Sept. The schedule is short now because we're almost to the end of "summer". "Spring" will get posted soon enough, and then we'll have the schedule through May.

Yeah, it looks unlikely to me as well. If I've read the tea leaves right, late summer is more likely. I've heard that Baen's parent company wants new books scheduled a year in advance, so if they put it on the schedule when RFC told them he was working on it, it's no earlier than July. If he turns it in when I suspect he might, that gives Baen nine months to edit and publish it, which is probably not all that unreasonable.

Baen does typically run 9 months to a year, but they have published DW in 4 to 6 months for several of his recent books. Unlike TOR which schedules at its convenience at a minimum of one year and more likely 18 months or more. Perhaps more importantly, Baen has been willing to put up the eARC usually well before publication - on at least one occation the week they had the draft in hand.

The next four months are up. There's one new Weber, The Road to Hell, but it's with Joelle Presly, and seems to be in the Multiverse series. No sign of either the next Honorverse novel, the next Companion or an anthology.
