The discussion about Iris and Horace starts around 56 minutes. FYI

I am glad you all are liking the interview! I had a blast doing them with David and Sharon and they are such gracious hosts. Please make sure you watch both interviews and let me know if you have any comments, suggestions, or the like on them. I love getting feedback!

Looks like you really enjoyed yourself there, Gerald. (and their dog and cat, too) Not too shabby a job, either.

In this interview DW said that there will be 3 more Honorverse novels until a good resting place for the universe and also that after HFQ, he will work on the Multiverse book (Road to Hell) with J. Presby, then on the Manticore Ascendant collaboration with T. Pope and T Zahn and then he will start the epic fantasy 5 volume series in which many characters from the current Bazhell universe will be secondary ones

This coupled with his remarks about scaling somewhat back means that the next Honorverse book that will advance the storyline is 2016 at the earliest no?

What is HFQ

Hell's Foundations Quiver, or something like that. The next Safehold book.

It's looking like it's going to be 2016 for the next full-scale novel, yes. (Except, of course, for A Call to Duty). We might see another anthology sooner, though. In any case, 2016 is a great cross-marketing opportunity since the movie is slated to come out that year as well.

It sounds like once the Honorverse is at a decent resting place he'll take a break for a few years and work on other stuff, but at least (I hope!) we shouldn't be left on any agonizing cliffhangers.

I just hope we don't end up like G.R.R.M fans...

But I plan to read Bazhell and Safehold in fairly short order, so the waits should be less agonizing for me from now on.
