I would suspect that Georgia Young / Elaine Sakristos may have encountered one of the "wet-work" teams from Mesa, perhaps the same team that rendered Decroix as "no longer a problem".
Georgia had many enemies, and even some of her "friends" may have seen her as more of a liability than an asset

Stewart, I don't remember her ever being connected with Mesa/Manpower (except perhaps in betraying the escaped slaves that got her free and rich), and I think Mesa/Manpower may be a bit...distracted...right around now.

As for the MAlignment, I don't think she was co-opted like Descroix, but I could be wrong about that...just don't remember any textev.

Have to agree with kzt, she's living very quietly on some backwater SL planet that gets very few visitors and watching any new arrivals very carefully.

The former Georgia Young is living off the beaten path, off the beaten path. Some modest verge planet like Nuncio which IIRC got an average of one freighter visit a T-month or something like Refuge which got one tramp freighter per T-year.

My thoughts were just wishful thinking.
The scenario of Georgia / Elaine encountering those who initially financed her and deciding that she was a current liability seemed to me as appropriate and poetic justice.

She may be living low profile, but there is NO WAY that Ms. Sakristos (whatever her name is now) is living in someplace like Nuncio or equivalent. A nice boutique owner (and genteel bookie) on Erehwon or Smoking Frog or New Berlin, perhaps, but not somewhere that you have to go off-planet to find decent haute cusine.

IIRC, the folks really wanting to have a little discussion with Elaine was the Ballroom. Zilwicki gave her a three day head start, but I suspect that the discussion happened and didn't go well...for Elaine.

Hopefully something hideously messy.

Or they just put her in the same room with Dame Estelle and she died of paralyzing fright, but I think that would be a bit too kind.

There was a reference to them in one of the last books, SoF I think. Khumalo mentioned them (current tense) as lunatics, I think. Still around, but not a major issue anymore. But I don't have the e-versions handy enough to search for it. If you look, look for Norbrandt, though.

Norbrandt wouldn't understand Estelle well enough to be frightened enough for a coronary. And Dame Estelle isn't the sort for torture; she'll just let Rajkovic's people execute her. You know, observe the limits of Manti sovereignty, while ensuring that justice is served.

Best guess is she and the FAK are keeping a very low profile, with at minimum a short battalion of Royal Marines on planet. By this time the Marines are training the KDF and KNP to a very high standard.

If the SEM was smart they would have sent in SIS counter terrorist strike teams and beefed up the RMMC units on planet to a full regiment.
