Rose, I'm surprised that you were so lenient with Hutch for pairing Theisman with someone who isn't Eloise Pritchart! *~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*

So am I!! In all honesty, though, I go back and forth between "Of course Eloise will always love Javier but Tom would make her so happy!" and "Javier was the love of Eloise's life and it just isn't in her to be with anyone else that way, ever". Apparently today I'm in the latter camp. And when all is said and done, if Eloise is done with the romance business because she had her great love and there can never be another, I think Mercedes makes a great deal of sense for Tom myself. ~*~

Well, I will give you this, Skimper, it is an...unusual outlook. I would think the relationship is more tectonic that platonic, given the things Firebrand has been causing trouble (and deaths) for the SEM to clean up. I seriously doubt that if Sir Aivars Aleksovitch Terekhov, gets his hands on Firebrand that he will be feeling very platonic...more likely volcanic. ***********************************************

How about Honor and Shannon? Who doesn't want to see this reunion happen at some point in the near future? It's been a long while since they've met in person. We've gotten most of the other Manticoran-Havenite long-awaited meetings...this is one of the few missing. Shannon did save Honor and Nimitz's lives after all and risked her neck before that (along with Lester) to try and keep Honor and the rest of her POWs out of SS hands. I know Honor and Nimitz want to belatedly express their gratitude.

I'd love to see Shannon and Honor meet again. Unfortunately, it's looking like Shannon and Sonja are going to be holed up at Bolthole for quite some time. I wonder if Grand Fleet's commanding officer might need to make a trip out there??? ~*~

I seriously doubt that the BSC will get involved if something like this happened. They would not want to be anywhere near Lara' Own Regiment when they started their hunt. You know, the ones Thandi compared to wolves? The ex-scrags and the people who can hang with them out on the sharp end? Anyone who gets in their way, even accidentally, is in real trouble. _

Basically, this. The only not-dangerous response to an attempt (successful or not) to kidnap Ruth (or Berry!) is to sit back with popcorn and watch Lara's Own vaporize the perpetrator(s) into subatomic particles. ~*~

NEVER count the Righteous Anger of Elizabeth Adrienne Samantha Annette Winton as tangential! dreamrider PS - We both could have probably stopped at Victor Cachat. |

Do remember what Judith Winton is capable of, too. |
