resource = internal or closely associated asset, material, or person.
source = point of origin or ability to obtain a material, information, etc.

The resource isn't the ship it is the missile. LERM and Mk16 cost a little to a fair amount. The Mk23 let alone the latest Mk25 costs more than the SD(P). The crew is not worth more than the missile load. Nobody is going to put an entire missile load of resources into a barge and then hyper it in and run away from it.

If the ability to attack a system becomes impossible people are going to change the rules. A freighter full of rocks coming in at 0.9c and have it slam into the planet. It will destroy the planet and it doesn't matter if you have a quarter million missile pods or not the planet is dead. Put a bubble side wall on the freighter and just kamikaze run into the planet. Might even give a use for all those useless SD's. Bubble sidewall and a couple highly motivated individuals. Could even breed them for the job. Like Gauls.
