I'd really, really, really like to see Dr. Franz Illescue find out who leaked Honor's private information.

And now I come across a reference in CoG. I had to research it.
Parmley Station.

Modeled after ancient Earth amusement parks like Disneyland and Coney Island, it was originally built by Michael Parmley, but had little financial success, and his descendants ended up stranded there in poverty for several generations.[1] The only entertainment seeking visitors were a few gas miners. The empty station was partially seized by freelance slavers for transshipment purposes. The slavers also established some kind of truce with the Butre Clan, the remaining descendants of Parmley led by Elfride Margarete Butre, Parmley's wife.

Apparently I was right. The rides capable in space, frightens the heebie jeebies outta ya!

.
edit: spelling.

You apparently missed the descriptions of Parmley Station in Torch of Freedom. There was actually a scene set on one of the roller coasters, looking out at the big nearby nebula.

That would be delicious.

I also need more Estelle. Specifically her family background. Who is that niece of hers? What are her siblings up to? And who does she end up marrying?

Scout's Honor

Seems that would be a good title for a book. Especially the book that discovers where the MA is based. A ship just stumbles onto the place and lies doggo or something.

We had Honor Among Enemies. What if Harrington was caught by pirates?
Then we'd have Honor Among Thieves. Perhaps then Honor could discover where the MA bolthole is. Since pirates seem to hideout in out of the way places. May be they have seen some things.

Hi HB of CJ,

Please, RFC has declared no space born aliens in the honor-verse.

Not going to happen.

See the pearl.

Know RFC doesn't do that type of story in the first place.

Put it out of your mind.

Those aren't the stories you truly seek if you're really a David Weber fan... ;)

I think HH or HA-H will destroy Darius with an Eridani violation like having an old SD or SDP ram the the planet at ~.75C, because there's no way the population, even all the seccies and slaves etc, can ever be convinced they're wrong.

Take your pick for the galaxy's reaction, compared to Honor's private personal one; even after the MAlign has done as bad or worse, as in a Leonard Detweiler Spider SDP ramming a star to kill and ruin the whole system etc.

We've had hints that HH, or HA-H won't live long enough to raise her kids, so something may happen after she destroys the MAlign.

Feel free to guess or suggest whatever comes to mind.

The SL as it is isn't going to make peace.

Period.

Full Stop.

Put it out of your mind. ;)

When what's left tries or attempts to, it will be far smaller, as in only around 3-4 dozen systems and surrounded by polities about the same size who don't want it getting uppity again before it even thinks about the SEM, which will be larger and much more powerful. :D

Perhaps after settling accounts. Honor with her Grayson sword walking into that epic final encounter with the "heads" of the MAlignment. The Sollies and the Grand Alliance FINALLY making peace?

Honor becoming Admiral of the Fleet for years, then honourably resigning. Later becoming the Manti Prime Minister? Finally retiring to Grayson? But...we get feelers of something....

...truly alien outside of known human space? Not the bugs. Something else. Worse. Perhaps a teaser for another generation of novels done by young writers? Just a hint of something nasty? HB of CJ (old coot)
Any snippet or post from RFC is good if not great!

Agreed will be no non human aliens in the Honorverse 'cause RFC has made it so. :D Makes a nice change from the usual eek aliens drivel so prevalent, IMO. :D

Yes, treecats, gremlins, stilties etc for fun, but none of them advanced sorts in ways we recognize as 'advanced'. :D

But why must 'advanced' aliens always be something horrid in scifi? Are we so xenophobic we cannot imagine beneficent Others? Can we not imagine a species that has outgrown all that childish puerile crap, who are too ancient and experienced to find being bad interesting anymore?

I am sick and tired of all that threadbare, tatty, overdone, overwrought EEK aliens are going to conquer us and so we should all BE AFRAID. Could that happen? Sure. But it isn't a given and it is just boring and repetitive for endless books and movies to keep harping on the same old claptrap silly drivel. If hostile aliens want the planet they'll engineer a disease to wipe us all out. And that will be that. All this shoot 'em up with people advanced enough to cross space is asinine. :?

There was a story, from history, in Passport to Magonia, by Jacques Vallee -an excellent book BTW- about an alien visitation in the middle ages in France. Some folks were taken up in ships, quite publicly, and were brought back a few days later -- the story is told by the then bishop of Amiens -- and people on the ground were so freaked out and scared they immediately chopped up the returnees with axes. Dear God. Spend a few moments considering what the aliens must have thought watching this utter barbarism.

I'm kind of hoping that we get to skip over the next few years and the boring fights against the SLN, and the next book is set after the fall of the League. Honor Among Chaos.
