That depends.... if you're between 30-35... might be a little close. If you're 18-20... yea OK... could still be pretty close! <grin>

I'm just hoping it comes out. As you said, anything that stays close to the story line with decent actors who think it is a project worth doing and put forth the effort to make it good.

Honestly, I think OBS isn't really that good a choice to start the movies - way too much narrative exposition and too slow (for a movie) to start things. Honor of the Queen or SVW would probably be better choices - a lot more of the explanation of things gets done character-to-character rather than by the narrator, maybe with some flashbacks to events of OBS that weren't in the books.

I'm 19, so yeah, really hoping it does come out. I've heard of so many good sounding movies that are in production, then they never reach the screen, and its a darn shame, because often the ones that do come out aren't anywhere as near as good as what these ones sounded like they could have been on a bad day. please let this one be made before im middle aged..... =D

To play Honor Harrington I nominate Representative to Congress elect from the State of Hawaii, Tulsi Gabbard.:-) A former captain in the Hawaii National Guard, deployed to Iraq for a year when it was still a hot zone and again to military police in Kuwait.

I just saw her interviewed on msnbc, the resemblance to Honor is striking. The dark eyes and hair, strong triangular face, well built and beautiful. Looks tall. She was seated but was much larger than the female anchor. T. Hall. Tulsi is one of two woman COMBAT veterans elected to Congress this year. IIRC

Acting? Hey all politicians have to be able to act. :-) And I think it would be awesome to have a woman combat vet play Honor. She darn well knows what battle is like, something your average Hollywood type does not.

The other woman combat vet elected this year is Lt Col Tammy Duckworth to the US Senate from Illinois. As many of you probably know, Col. Duckworth lost both legs flying a helicopter in Iraq.

I wonder if we can make a part for christopher judge and richard dean anderson? Judge would probably make a good marine for the medusa affair, and anderson could be one of the mid ranked officers on the fearless....

Don't know the lady in question but ladies from mixed ancestry of islander, asian, causiasion background are superlative human females. Darwin in northern Australia has a mall that I challenge any red blooded male human to traverse without being impressed.

small addition. There is a lot about her if you google her. She is also the first Hindu elected to Congress and will be taking her oath on the Bhagavad Gita. Interesting lady.

I realize this is wishful thinking on my part, but it is fun to speculate. :-)

I just checked and no one has nominated Angie Harmon from Rizzoli & Isles. She is a know actor, tall and attractive.

Good idea, bad timing. Fiscal Cliff, jobs, all kinds of stuff to deal with. Zero time to mess around in Hollywood. Size does not matter so much for the film. In any dimension...

And we are indeed a diverse nation, much like rfc's Honorverse. Makes me happy, if not certain others.

Edited for even more opinions.
