Will they actually sign up with SEM's military and become officers and enlisted, and how about the Stilties? Also, does anyone remember if there is a proper name for the aliens from Basilisk? Calling them Stilties seems like calling people Peeps or Manties. I personally don't like being called a Yank or Yankee, not that I am ashamed of Northerners or of being from the States but I am from the South and personally prefer using Southerner, hillbilly, hick, bass ackward unedumicated redneck  'Murica!!!. So does anyone remember if there is an SEM official moniker for them?

Medusans.

Since they're from Medusa.

That's them. Thank you.

I would like to know what the Manticoran component of the Queen's Own Regiment is called. Sphinx has the Copper Walls Battalion and Gryphon the Land's End Rangers. Any suggestions?

I would like to know more about Bolthole. What is it's reason for existence? It is called Bolthole. My dictionary states that it is "any refuge place or means of escape." This implies it is more than just a place where weapons and spaceships are designed and built. It implies that its original primary purpose was a refuge. If Nouveau Paris fell would the government of haven move to bolthole? The name of the place indicates that this might happen.

I would like to know if the Manticore Ascendant series will include the discovery of the wormhole junction. I infer from the title of the series that it should because the junction and its associated commerce expansion are what leads to Manticore ascending the ranks of galactic power. I've always wanted to see the Manties' (and everyone else's) reactions to the discovery of the junction. So much of how we view Manticore and its identity and uniqueness has to do with the junction and everything stemming from it. Now, we have a chance to see what it was like just before and just after its discovery. I hope we get a chance to see how Manticore and the RMN begin to grow into the utter bada$$es that we know and love.

I assume we'll at least see the wormhole found.
A Call to Duty ends in 1533 PD, from House of Steel I think the date for the short story A Call to Arms was 1538, and Manticoran Wormhole was discovered (first transit) in 1585 PD.

Even in a pre-prolong environment I'd expect Travis Long to be around by then (although likely retired).

Although HoS also tells us that the first big naval buildup was shortly after A Call to Arms, which puts it well before the wormhole was surveyed and transited. I expect there's plenty of story to fill in those almost 50 years before discovery.

Due to that I wouldn't be too surprised, but a bit disappointed, if first transit is part of an epilog to whatever the final book in that series is. (Possibly with Travis Long as one of the distinguished observers watching it leave)

In IEH, when Honor is briefing White Haven on the WDB developments she mentions a Vice Admiral Adcock. Is this the same Adcock who engineered the whole secret R and D with King Roger? He didn't receive prolong and so I would've thought he would've passed on by this point in the series.

Is it Captain Lord Skimper or Lord Captain Skimper?

Would it be different in Grayson?
