Quite simply one of the best ever, anywhere. Sadly already been commented on a few times.

Seen quite a few that made me laugh, but also a number that only go a snort. I know there is one I enjoyed that I haven't seen yet, and will have to try and find it.

"You stay out of it, sweetheart," Horace Harkness told him softly, almost lovingly, "or I'll break your *&^%$#@ back myself."

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense

And perhaps that was just as well. At least none of the People realized what was about to happen.

- Not so much a "one liner" as it is a single phrase that carries so much connotation.

And speaking of the other use of that phrase in the books:

"Lieutenant Harrington, allow me present my sister, Allison Carmena Elena Inez Regina Benton-Ramirez y Chou."

Does she have so many names because she's considered part of Beowulf's "royalty" (due to the Benton-Ramirez y Chou connection)? I notice that the Beowulfans seem to like the hyphenated name too.

Yeah, she calls it out a page or two later with "That's why they hung all those names on me" or something to that effect.

OFF TOPIC ALERT...

OK, OK...
I have TRIED, really I have, to not post this, but now I've been teased into it...

In the movie "The Hunt for Red October",
the character Andrei Bonovia (portrayed by Krzysztof Janczar {credited as Christopher Janczar}) is an officer (presumably the first officer) of the V.K. Konovalov.

His comment is directed towards Captain 2nd Rank Viktor Tupolev, Commanding Officer of the V.K. Konovalov (‪portrayed by Stellan Skarsgård‬).

FFI, see this video:

1:55 in to clip he says my favorite movie line:

"You arrogant ass, you've killed us!"
