A ship crewed by Treecats would be one of the most efficient in the fleet. Cats communicate directly with each other all over the ship. The ship's normal communications network and channels wouldn't be needed. Commands would be received much faster and clearly, even if communications went down.
However, there would be no compartmentalization. No need to know. No secrets. No unauthorized access. No levels of security clearance. Son, your mother says I have to hang you. If it is some sort of typo, BoM is shorthand for Battle of Manticore.
