Since I started reading the Honorverse books for the space combat, I'd love to know that future books will have space combat in them. The build up to "Raging Justice" was great, except the actual battle description not so great.

Previous books were wonderful. I'd love to know future books will have lots of combat too.

I want to know what happened to Beowulf's Gremlins? They were mentioned in OBS and then never again. Are they cute and fuzzy? Do they have Gremlin colonies? Can you feed them after midnight?

I want to know who else gets treecat bodyguards.

By which I mean I want to know if anyone in the Talbott Quadrant gets treecat bodyguards.

...by which I mean I want to know if Estelle Matsuko and Augustus Khumalo get treecat bodyguards.

And I want to know what their treecat names are.

Basically I need my darlings and treecats.

I imagine a guardian is on the way to Mike, I can see her naming him 'Attila the Honey.' Only problem is the Dispatch boat catching up to 10th fleet, that gal lets no grass grow under her purple treecat slippers.

I wonder if Shanon 'Oops' Chandal will get catted I can see her naming the poor thing, 'Alley Oops.'

Oh, I think we can take it for granted that there will be war...

As for Raging Justice/2nd Manticore, what was there to say? We had already seen in the simulator what was going to happen, so there wasn't much need to tell it again.

What I (and I think all of us) are waiting for is what happens when a Lenny Det encounters a GA SD(P) Squadron. THAT will be the next interesting part of the story.

IMHO as always. YMMV.

Why Detweiler didn't have any daughters.
Six sons and no daughter?
I know that he cloned his sons.
But since he had a wife, he could have had a daughter right?
Was there a reason given as to why not?

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense

Yes, but he had a wife. They could have had a daughter by normal means, right?

Normal means? You mean, all that messy arbitrary mixing up of gene sets? And uncontrolled homologous recombination producing new gene combinations? Not to mention potential mutated genes? Ugh, what kind of barbarian are you?

Detweiler didn't want a child by normal means. He wanted exact copies of himself.

He could have gone with the Lazarus Long version of cloning daughters. He had two daughters that were cloned from him, but they removed the Y chromosome, copied the X and inserted it a second time. This created female versions of himself where all of the genetic material came directly from him.

Of course, Lazarus Long was odd in that he was naturally born with NO dangerous recessives, but I suspect that the Detweilers would have had them removed over the generations.
