But really. You think? Well I never.

Allison being played by Lucy Liu is casting perfection. I have to admit that I'm not familiar with Michelle Krusiec, afaik. But I have been meaning to see a movie she's in called "Knife Fight," as it boasts a cast of 16 beautiful women! Can we say "veritable bevy of bold beautiful bodacious babes?"

Ha! Compared to Talbott-Estelle, she is definitely "rougher around the edges". For one thing, we don't get nearly as much "sulfurous" cursing from Talbie Essie.

(I cannot believe I just wrote those last two words.)

I may or may not have a theory that said sulfurous cursing was in about half a dozen different languages...

Google Michelle Krusiec!! She is gorgeous. Stunningly, staggeringly gorgeous. Put her next to Norm Lewis and I might actually faint. (Also, now I have to watch that movie...)

Talbie Essie? You never cease to amaze rose. Does Scotland know what's in store? A Scottish Rose in a kilted skirt. Talbie Essie'll snap you up and pollinate the hell outta ya! Giving a new meaning to cross pollination, yielding a hearty rose with bloomers even in the winter.

Yea, Krusiec is beautiful. I must watch that movie.

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense

HMS Hexapuma accelerated steadily onward, oblivious to the comings and goings of the ephemeral beings on her bridge. Unlike her crew, she had no doubts, no questions. Only purpose.

The Nasty Kitty indeed. I miss Hexapuma.

Now that is just unfair. They never make movies with huge numbers of near-nekkid studly hunks for us queer boys to enjoy...the closest I can think of is Magic Mike. BOOHOOHOO!!!

I'm surprised at your A.D.D. Hanuman. Of course they do. It's just so damn common and so easy to do that it escapes you. The volleyball scene of Top Gun featured totally topless men; totally topless is a rarity for us straight-laced *preverts, yet all too common for your enjoyment. Now that is ashamedly unfair!!! You see it all the time for gay men. The grass is always greener on the other side. All beach/pool scenes feature topless men, therefore half nekkid bevies ... or would you call that beefies? :D

Even soap operas have featured half-naked beefies since the pilot episodes. You really wanna go there and talk about fair? Then truly half-naked beavers would just about make things even, just about square.

Of course, traveling abroad you see it all. Female newscasters who strip on tv for ratings. Live tv! Total frontal nudity in commercials. Let alone movies. Beautiful weather girls who strip while saying ............... "It's going to be a wet one today."
:o It sure is woman. It's a wet one already!

Can you imagine one of our anchorwomen stripping on tbe evening news? News broadcasts would be the most watched telecasts in American history! And don't even get me started on a certain local weather girl.

Nude beaches, naked pallad busts, statues, paintings, hell, even the billboards would be X-rated, therefore totally out of the question here in America. Even some lawn hedges are cut, trimmed, and well manicured in the shape of sexually explicit bodies. Giving a new meaning to leaf lifting. We are a brood of prudes. Is this why I travel abroad a lot? hmmm

Note that I am not a pervert. I am a prevert — a pervert before perversion was perverted. 8-)

   I so needed that...you're right though, Euro norms wrt nudity are so much more relaxed. Poor Americans, it's all that 'Puritan legacy' of yours...

I miss the Nasty Kitty too Amaroq. In fact, she performed so well that I think a ship should be commissioned with her nickname ... the RMS Nasty Kitty.

Does textev give the nickname of Saganami's Nike?

Grayson should fly a GSN Miranda. She'll do a little curtsy move right before she blows your ass outta space. Akin to Red October's crazy Ivan maneuver.

Yeah, along with the loss of people, the destruction of the Hexapuma hurt too.

But IIRC, she had made the List of Honor (given the tradition and everything we've seen from the RMN, it's surprising that any ship gets a original name these days... 8-) ;) ), so I wouldn't be surprised to see a new "Kitty" sharpening its' claws one of these days...

And I said several pages ago that I was done with this thread, but in trying to find a reference in textev that would allow me to start a new thread, I ran across this one--and I can't resist.

Now I haven't reviewed all 131 pages of this thread, so it may have been posted before, but it would still bear repeating, IMHO.

"I admire you, and I respect you, both as my monarch and as a person and a friend, Elizabeth, but you're wrong. Whatever you may think, the real threat to the Star Empire at this moment isn't in Nouveau Paris or Old Chicago at all. It's in the Mesa System . . . and it's in the process of destroying the Star Kingdom you're responsible for ruling."

Honor confronts Elizabeth with the cold hard truth and Elizabeth realizes that Honor Harrington is not only a friend, but in many ways her peer.....

I seriously doubt the List of Honor was very long before the main series started honestly. I just don't think their would have been more then at most a two or three dozen engagements warranting the ships involved in them being put on the list and most engagements before the main series weren't the full fleet actions we saw once the war got going. Though ship names do get reused even without being on the list. Saganami's Nike shared its name with one of the frigates which were the first ships of the original Manticoran navy for example.
