Ah, thank you. I'm hoping to see her in some actual novels and/or short stories soon.

...Susan Hibson's going to be in the same quadrant as Abigail Hearns, Michelle Henke, Michael Oversteegen, Naomi Kaplan, Augustus Khumalo, and Estelle Matsuko?? :o

Mesa and the League better duck fast, because I'm pretty sure that concentration of badass could explode the universe if unleashed improperly.

And Jacob Zavala, Aviers Terekov, Helen Zilwicki, Scotty Tremane, Horace Harkness... I do believe the Quadrant's already overflowing with badassness.

I also noticed that someone by the name of Fonzerelli is stationed on the Tristram as Chief Engineer. I wonder if he repairs things by concussion.

Think pretty soon we'll see some more homegrown Talbott badasses (i.e. Steven Westman)?

Again, XO is a line position, not a staff one.
We can tell by this test:
both XO and TO are in the ship's chain of command.

I think my initial point has been misinterpreted. I'm not surprised that Honor hasn't had a staff post since OBS,
[snip - htm]
My point was that I was surprised she hadn't held a single staff position prior to taking command of the first Fearless. If she was being considered for high rank, then I would have expected her to have some kind of staff role as a Lieutenant or Lieutenant Commander.

Greentea replied:
Actually Honor serves as the XO on the HMS Broadsword
in the short story "The Hard Way Home" in Worlds of
Honor. It fills in the backstory of that
ski lodge incident where Honor saved several people,
including one of our favorite marines. You know,
the incident they allude to on Gryphon.

I would love to know if we're going to be seeing our Cerberus-escapees in the Protector's Own anytime soon. I miss Harry!

Question. Was it not Abigail Hearn's intention to be trained in the RMN but bring back that knowledge and experience to the GSN?

Seems I read that somewhere.

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense
