When Admiral Courvosier was killed, there must have been a huge hole in Advanced Tactics instruction at Saganami Island. Was there any mention of who filled that void?

I would like to see something more of the point of view of Lieutenant Oliver Bristow, Meyers Astro Control and Sensor Operator Petty Officer 2/c Alan Coker. They were the Watch Officer and Sensor Operator in Meyers when LCdr Denton and HMS Reprise arrived to deliver the diplomatic note after the initial New Tuscany incident.
They were FF but obviously not attached to Commo Thurogood. Were they again on duty when Michelle and 10th Fleet arrived ? -- Stewart |

------------ And once again, Lt Bristow and the SLN Chief agreed with him and all insured their skinsuits were nearby..... (just in case) -- Stewart |

Been reading the entire series, and just finished Ashes of Victory. I'd like to know why St. Just insisted on prepping
McQueen's dossier to "make shooting her a slam dunk in front of a People's Court". Yes, she was extremely popular with the military, and the general populace, but it would seem that the easier route to go if you decide that she needs to be removed is to arrange for her to suffer a cerebral hemorrhage (and they do occur in the Honorverse, as Major General Harris suffered one in EoE). You then throw a glorious state funeral for the "Heroine of the Revolution who gave her life fighting the evil Manties." Since St. Just would control the autopsy, no problems there, and no need to doctor any dossiers. ========================

Interesting question. I can think of three possibilities. One, perhaps the People's Court had become the default method of dealing with domestic problems; assassination was primarily used for foreign operations. Two, perhaps they wanted to establish McQueen's criminality so that they could immediately press charges against anyone they found had been collaborating with her. Three, perhaps they wanted to make an example of her, to prevent any other Navy heroes from becoming too powerful in the future. --------------------------------------------

And with that, lash the broom to the mast. (Apologies to those not knowing the custom). Namely: felicitations to RoseAndHeather on her promotion to Vice Admiral. |

Estelle Matsuko is Baroness Medusa, which is a peer of the realm.
Question: Will she be able to pass this status down to her heirs? If you are a commoner before such a title, then your successive bloodlines are automatically no longer commoners but aristocrats?
