All three hosts may be seen secretly in one local system if you prefer, to save travel time. Your call.

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense

I want transit aboard a Manticoran flagship belonging to Admiral Henke. (I'm aware I may not actually meet her then.) However, If something goes down, I want to know that I'm in good hands. I don't want it to be Honor's ship. My stomach will lurch at the possibility of a battle-stations klaxon sounding aboard Honor's ship. Honor may throw in an unscheduled death ride for free, and I'd hate to turn into Hauptman screaming like a frightened bitch "I'm a contestant winner! Pull those ships back in close! Let's warp the hell outta here! Warp, run, flee, or whatever the hell you do here! Step on it!"

After all, this is wartime. I ain't gonna travel no commercial ship in wartime! Or any other time.

Pirates! ... I'm too good looking for that schit!

My three preferred hosts, travel destination(s) and questions will come at a later post after I consider it thoroughly. This is both less and more than a once in a lifetime offer.

Ah, no fun for the single dad. So...

#1. Visit Michelle Henke visiting Palane and Cachat in Mesa.

Transportation = the HMS Alistair McKeon, berthing with Harkness & Tremaine

#2. Visit Allison Harrington wherever: Transportation = Brixton Comet. Especially if it's on Grayson when Protector Benjamin's family is going to come for dinner. Get medical downloads

#3. Sphinx: Sorrow Singer. Hope to be adopted or at least bring some form of solace to that 'cat.

I use the 24 hours to go as far into hiding as I can, so I don't have to go back. Then I come out and spend my time wandering all over the Honorverse at my leisure.

Such a pity. A once in a lifetime to see the wonders of space to be wasted. Squandered on an pathetic attempt at hiding, from a sponsor with handwavium at their fingertips.

You will NOT be found. As you were never lost. Imagine your dismay when you are approached by a team of genetically engineered super soldiers, fully armed, on permanent retainer by the GSL. They are not angry because a lucky contestant can spend their 24 T-hours as they please.

Perhaps you at least hid where there was a marvelous view?

You were warned. 24 T-hours. Round Trip. Tick Tock. Beware the clock.

But, you wouldn't have done that. The GSL has been dealing with Terrans for millennia. On the long trip aboard ship you would have seen the complimentary film on past participants. Seen the joys, and the few disappointments of others with thoughts like your own.

The very strong message from the GSL would have swayed your thoughts.

I would make for the nearest hospital and pray that my various medical problems can be fixed in 24 hours long with anything that can be done to speed recovery from the nasty side effects of those problems.

I'd grab Werewolf whilst Scotty is on board. First stop, Battle of Carson. Jam Nike's messages and broadcast the archived message. Drop a pair of Shrikes, bring the crew of Nike onto Werewolf.

Switch onto HMS Alistair McKeon, next stop Manticore, when the decision is being made to cut the battle cruisers in half prior to the Axelrod-funded invasion. A ship that size stooging around the system should be enough to stop the vote succeeding, especially if they make a close-ish pass and fire a single Mk16 to demonstrate range etc.

Meanwhile, I'll be in the sick bays, getting my sight and hearing fixed, as well as anything I'm not aware of.

Of course technically I still have my 24 hours yet, not been off ship, so I could go to John Hopkins on Beowulf for any further treatments...

One T-day consists of 24 hours. There is no such thing as a T-hour. Hence the reason why Manticore has a clock with 22 hours and a slightly over 20 minute "comp" at local midnight.

Thanks for this post crewdude. It has sparked an interesting exchange of information in a rather fervent debate amongst some of my friends.

Interesting information that I wasn't aware of was submitted by Mirabella - Romanian physicist. I thought I'd share.

Most rather doubt the use of the cesium atom in an advanced future. I am a holdout. I stand by my cesium. Pigheaded American someone called me. :|

Well, actually she said pig-brained, still struggling with some American idioms, but close enough to convey the meaning.

After much thought, my initial destination will be the Manticoran binary system. I must see a binary system. I will be excitedly looking forward to wormhole travel and the azure bleed of the sails in downward translations. I get a kick out of Terran-based auroras as it is.

0900-1000: Meeting with Honor Harrington at Mt. Royal Palace. Surely she will introduce me to the Queen. Gotta kiss a Queen. I can impress her with how much I know about her. I'll have a backpack full of celery! Sign to Nimitz about his performance at Protector's Palace and ask Honor what my treecat name is and why.

1030-1130: Tour of The Pit with Sonja Hemphill and anyone we can bump into.
1. What are you and Shannon working on at Bolthole?
2. What is going to be your response to MAlign technology?
3. Any ideas to the MAlign hidey-hole?

1200-1300: Lunch at Dempsey's with my escort. I'll order an Old Tilman and the best damn rib-eye steak and sea scallops that credits can buy. Period!

1300-1400: Tour of Manticore via fastest atmospheric ship with panoramic views.

Back aboard berthing ship.

1500: Meeting with Abigail Hearns aboard my berthing ship. As long as I'm aboard ship, my three questions will keep Abby busy for days. While we get a chance to bond. I'll ask Abby if she will accompany me on my next trip to Grayson and show me around. I have twenty hours remaining off-ship. I'd like to spend two hours during a Sunday worship in Grayson's largest church, socializing with beautiful old-fashioned fururistic Grayson women with long beautiful hair and beautiful flowing dresses. Then several days in Grayson orbit after the two hours on Grayson worshipping.

An invitation for Abby to accompany me to Beowulf, but enjoying the sweet Grayson way she declines with a "Sorry, but the Salamander has me busy, and the heart-stopping Grayson curtsy and kiss on the cheek." I'll wink at Mateo while enjoying the parting embrace!

On to Beowulf for three hours of sordid fun. Don't worry. What happens on Beowulf stays on Beowulf.

An hour off-ship in the Basilisk System. I want to see a Stilthy.

Sixteen hours left to spend off-ship while touring system after system. It'll be very difficult to simply wait in orbit on a ship looking at beautifully-colored planets and seas and not wish to spend an hour. I'd like to spend time on the highest gravity planet and the lowest gravity planet. I'd download as much info as I can on my mega T-byte quite quaint hard drive on the trip there and back.

I'm looking to get someone pregnant and leave a limb of my family tree behind to grow up in a prolong society, therefore, several hours of someone's wages will be spent aboard "The Wages of Sin," the huge orbital pleasure resort above Erewhon.

TBC

An aside:
Is there a such thing as "jet-lag" in the Honorverse?

Also, Andreea, Romanian, mentions cloning. She wants to look into cloning in the Mesan System. Her clone can be left there. Hmm. May be? Another hmmmmm.
